The return policy agreement seal is an image displayed by online stores to show their return policy meets minimum standards. This symbol may only be displayed by retailers who agree to a list of fair and reasonable policy recommendations. When potential customers click on the image, a new browser window opens with the list of policy recommendations the retailer has agreed to follow. This helps the consumer understand the return policy is more likely to be fair and reasonable. Of course this doesn’t guarantee the online merchant will follow through with the agreement, but at least the policy is in the open.
